A message from the director
"I started SMD Solutions after spending years working in the industry on all levels to bridge the gap between concept and reality. I began my career as a tradesman, where I spent time fabricating and installing structural & mechanical systems. I was constantly running into problems that could have easily been avoided had the design team been aware of them.
I faced a new challenge when I began working as a part of a design team. It was difficult to convince the rest of the team to build the working relationships with fabricators and manufacturers necessary to streamline the design and construction process. In my experience of traditional design firms, their job is finished as soon as the plans leave their desks.
S&M Design Solutions has been built from the ground up to eliminate these issues. We have a strong working relationship with our manufacturing and fabrication partners and we will follow the project from the initial investigation right through to implementation and assessment of the outcome. We aim to remove the links in the chain and provide a streamlined solution for your needs."

Our Team
Vance has 40 years industry experience starting his career as a Sheet-metal tradesman and went on to obtain trade qualifications as a Boilermaker Welder and Fitter & Turner. He is now qualified in Structural and Mechanical Engineering and Project Management with over 25 years’ experience as a designer.
Tracie is a qualified Financial Adviser who has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. She is passionate about achieving the best outcome for both S & M Design Solutions and their clients.
Aaron Murphy, Web Services
Jack completed his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Business Management at Griffith University in 2017. He has over two years' experience as a design draftsman and project management.
Aaron has been part of SMD Solutions from the beginning providing technical web and IT services. He brings a valuable service to our team allowing us to bring 21st century technology and information systems to the industry.
